Position overview
The Division of Student Administration and Academic Services (DSAAS) is within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Portfolio. DSAAS is responsible for the administrative support of students through the student lifecycle from when an offer is made to the completion of their studies and graduation. Activities of the Division includes admissions, general student enquiries, enrolment, class timetabling, program management, financial transactions, scholarship management, examination management, legislative compliance in relation to students and the curriculum management. The Division also provides advice for appeals, grievance, academic misconduct and discipline processes.
An opportunity exists for an individual who would like to be part of a high performing team that performs a key and central function of supporting, maintaining and enhancing the Student Administration System and related student systems. You will be responsible for: undertaking or assisting with policies and procedures for the maintenance or implementation of new and enhanced business and IT solutions that support the Student Administration function of the University; providing specialist advice, troubleshooting and support to users of student systems; business analysis; operational support; supporting student related projects or improvements.
The successful applicant will possess well-developed oral and written communication skills; be able to demonstrate critical analysis, attention to detail, technical aptitude, an accessible and constructive approach to user support requests, and the ability to work with competing deadlines in a dynamic service based environment. A proven ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential. The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to the delivery of client-based outcomes, be resourceful and show initiative to meet the University’s needs.
Candidates with experience in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions will be highly regarded.
