Clinical Education Coordinator

Classification: ANU Officer Grade 6/7 (Administration)
Salary package: $93,646 – $107,795 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Terms: Full time, Continuing
(part-time, job share or a gradual increase in hours will be considered)

The Position

This is a critical and busy coordinators role in a friendly and motivated team coordinating and supporting clinical education and clinical placements to medical students enrolled in years 3 & 4 of the 4-year postgraduate medicine program. Leading a small team, the role cultivates and supports close working relationships with academics, clinicians, students and placement providers, applies and reviews policies and procedures, troubleshoots daily to ensure smooth program/placement delivery and provides leadership and advice to professional staff, clinical teachers and academics relating to program delivery.    

The position is face-to-face and is based at Canberra Hospital.  

The Person

We are looking for a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated capacity to quickly develop productive, professional relationships with a broad range of colleagues and clients. Highly developed organisational skills, effective self-management and a well-developed capacity to juggle and meet deadlines are key.    The position will suit a person with recent supervisory experience, who has experience using or can quickly learn and use enterprise systems, can interpret, refine and apply policy and procedures, understand schedules and program outcomes, who enjoys forward planning, thrives in a busy education delivery environment and who is confident leading a team to success.
