Classification: Academic Level A
Salary package: $85,010 - $106,702 per annum, plus 17% superannuation
Terms: Full-time, Fixed Term (up to 12 months)
The Position
Provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to biodiversity and biosecurity genomics in a unique environment that wants you to excel. Our team brings together world leaders in genome biology spanning from fungi, to insects, and other animals. The position is focused on applied genomics ranging from genome assembly, to comparative genomics, long-read amplicon diagnostics and metabarcoding, this all in a biodiversity and biosecurity context.
This is a key role in a friendly, motivated team providing extensive training opportunities in applied genomics.
The Person
Must be excited about working on biodiversity and biosecurity across multiple projects in a highly dynamic and collaborative team that aims to make everyone succeed.
We are looking for a curious and investigative mind with experience in collaborative research and teamwork. We are looking for someone who likes challenging problems and encourages team members and colleagues to workshop effective solutions.
