Overview

University House offers commercial hotel and ANU graduate student accommodation (97 and 60 rooms, respectively), and 15 diverse events spaces and hospitality venues. University House is reopening in mid-2026, after 6.5 years closure due to the 2020 Canberra hailstorm, and a complete refurbishment to restore and upgrade its rooms and facilities. The reopening, in conjunction with the University's 80th anniversary, offers an exciting opportunity to re-establish and grow the reputation and business of University House, and its contributions to the University.

The Position

The Finance Officer provides high-level support to the Operations Manager, Divisional Support Officer, Master, and Leadership Team to support the effective development, implementation of workflows, on a variety of financial administration matters contributing to the provision of quality advice and service to stakeholders. The Finance Officer is a key role in data processing and daily finance associated duties, working closely with the Finance team and liaising with finance practitioners across campus. The position also serves as the primary point of contact for finance administration, collaborating with the Leadership Team and peers across the University to develop, implement and report on related strategies and outcomes. 

The Person

Your ability to lead by example, combined with outstanding communication and interpersonal strengths, will be key to building respectful, collaborative, and productive relationships with stakeholders.
