Salary package: $65,524 - $72,227 per annum, plus 17% superannuation

Position Overview

University House offers commercial hotel and ANU graduate student accommodation, and 15 diverse events spaces and hospitality venues. University House is reopening in mid-2026, after 6.5 years closure due to the 2020 Canberra hailstorm, and a complete refurbishment to restore and upgrade its rooms and facilities. The reopening, in conjunction with the University's 80th anniversary, offers an exciting opportunity to re-establish and grow the reputation and business of University House, and its contributions to the University.

As the Food and Beverage supervisor you will be directly reporting to the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the Café & Bar and Events when on shift, including; setting up event spaces, liaising with clients and coaching and supervising food and beverage staff. You will also be required to supervise food and beverage outlets.

The ideal candidates for this role will require a high level of communication and customer service skills; it is perfect for someone who is confident and uses initiative. Time management and organisation skills as well as high attention to detail are essential as this is a fast paced role with conflicting priorities. Previous experience with micros or other sales and catering software products would be advantageous.
