About the opportunity
The Menzies Senior Research Fellow in Leadership and Complexity will develop leadership research and curriculum. The position will focus on building the sustainability of the ANU Complexity Leadership Lab in partnership with the Menzies Leadership Foundation and other industry and government partners, advancing the field of complexity leadership, and securing a funding pipeline to ensure its long-term viability.
Applications are particularly invited from researchers who undertake high impact collaborative and cross-disciplinary research, and whose expertise contributes to the strategic agenda of the School.
About the Lab
The ANU Complexity Leadership Lab is a transdisciplinary research initiative, dedicated to fostering leadership that navigates the increasing complexities of the 21st century. In collaboration with the Menzies Leadership Foundation, the Lab brings together experts from diverse disciplinary backgrounds and practice fields, to innovate new approaches and advance the theory, measurement, research, education, and practice of complexity leadership, shaping a positive future for our students, stakeholders, and the world.
About the School
The Complexity Leadership Lab is supported by the School of Cybernetics which is the newest school at the ANU. The School will build on the foundational work of the Autonomy, Agency and Assurance Innovation Institute (3Ai), and also develop capacity in systems and design. Cybernetics is at the heart of the work of the school as a tool that sparks new ways of thinking and possibilities for the future. We focus on systems as a unit of analysis and driver of action for industries working with complexity and we are generating new approaches to shape the future through and with technology. The school creates programs that blend education, research and engagement, giving staff the opportunity to create new ways of working, to imagine something different, built on a diverse, inclusive culture.
