Position overview
The Senior Finance Business Partner is a key member of the University’s Finance and Business Services team, delivering high-quality financial management and strategic support to a diverse range of stakeholders. The role provides expert financial advice across budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance, ensuring stakeholders are equipped with timely, accurate, and insightful financial information to effectively manage their operations. Working closely with budget owners and project leaders, the position plays a critical role in strengthening financial performance, supporting informed decision-making, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations. The role also collaborates with finance colleagues and business units across the University, contributing to a cohesive, best-practice finance function. In addition, the Senior Finance Business Partner supports the delivery of both local and University-wide finance initiatives, driving continuous improvement and enhancing financial processes, systems, and governance frameworks.
As a trusted strategic advisor, you will partner with senior leaders to deliver high-quality financial analysis, insights, and advice that supports informed decision-making across a diverse portfolio. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and financial planning while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, optimise resources, and drive sustainable outcomes.
