The Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Fellow to join a dynamic research team in the Cancer Immunology and Epigenetics Laboratory at the Australian National University. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 12 months, with the potential to make a significant contribution to cutting-edge cancer research.
The successful candidate will support a multidisciplinary research team led by Associate Professor Burr focused on high throughput CRISPR screening to identify new cancer immunotherapy targets as part of an NHMRC Synergy Grant project titled “Improving outcomes for lung cancer patients: Discovering targetable vulnerabilities in lung cancer.” This work forms a critical part of the next phase of the project, which is now entering a high-intensity stage involving collaboration across multiple institutions.
The Person
We are looking for a highly motivated and collaborative researcher who holds a PhD in molecular biology, immunology, cancer biology, or a related discipline. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in cell biology, molecular biology, immunology, CRISPR-Cas9 technology and working with pre-clinical cancer models.
You will have a proven track record of research achievement and the ability to articulate and pursue innovative scientific ideas. A strong vision for your contribution to the project, aligned with its overarching goals, will be essential. The successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and be capable of working effectively with a diverse research team to meet critical project milestones.
