Salary package: $85,010 - $106,702 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Terms: Full time, Fixed Term (until 30 June 2026)

The role will support the delivery of a dynamic, broad research project on Australian parrots in multiple locations. The candidate will:

  • Undertake field work to support a telemetry project and this will include tree climbing
  • Lead research projects including complex data analysis (e.g., telemetry or genetic data) and paper writing
  • The candidate will be working remotely (i.e. off-campus) providing excellent work flexibility

Position Overview

This position is a fixed term for a period of 1 year to contribute to the work of the Difficult Bird research group. The role will involve delivery of a field-intensive research project on the ecology of threatened parrot species. The role will include ecological and wildlife surveys, and the candidate must be capable and willing to undertake intensive tree-climbing surveys for endangered birds. The Postdoc will write papers, analyse data, and support other staff to achieve the project goals. The research involves independent work and delivery of project goals and milestones in a timely manner and requires someone with good project management experience.
