This position is continuing (contingent funded). The funding that supports this project has an expected end date of 31 December 2028.

Position Overview
This is a key role for early career research academic to work in the new ARC Centre of Excellence for Weather of the 21st Century. The successful candidate will undertake research to investigate small scale atmospheric and oceanic processes and their role in setting the mean state. The successful candidate will run coupled experiments with the ACCESS climate model at varying resolutions to address this question. They will be accountable to a Chief Investigator in the ARC Centre of Excellence for Weather of the 21st Century.  

The Postdoctoral Fellow will be a member of Research School of Earth Sciences (RSES). RSES is Australia’s leading academic research institution for Earth and Marine Sciences, and ranked 11th in the world for Earth and Marine Sciences (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023). The Person
To excel in this role you will have a strong track record of independent research in the field of Climate Science and ability to articulate and prosecute innovate research. Your ability to lead by example, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will enable you to foster respectful and productive working relationships with staff, students and colleagues at all levels within RSES in line with the RSES Culture Statement.
