Postdoctoral Fellow

Classification: Academic Level A
Salary package: $85,010 - $106,702 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Terms: Full time, Fixed Term (up to 8 months)
(part-time, job share or a gradual increase in hours will be considered)

The Position

This role is integral to the delivery/support of an industry project on designing and characterising high pressure plasma torches. The project will involve both experimental investigations and modelling, with a view to guiding innovative applications of the plasma torch.

The Person

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic researcher with experience in designing and operating high pressure inductively coupled plasma torches as well as experience in plasma diagnostics using spectroscopy and electrical measurements. We are looking for someone who likes challenging problems and is a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to quickly develop productive, professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
