Information Technology Services (ITS) provides corporate IT services to ANU staff, students and visitors in support of achieving excellence in research, teaching and public policy. These services include network, communications, computing platforms, data storage, desktop and mobile access, enterprise systems, student learning environments, and IT security. The work of ITS is coordinated with services provided within and by University Colleges and other Service Divisions to form a cohesive, University-wide information services infrastructure. This role is a student experience leadership role as part of the ANU Digital Plan, working across a team providing operational and delivery leadership and expertise to ensure the University’s programs achieve the highest standards.

Position overview 
The Manager, Digital Student Services leads day‑to‑day delivery within the Digital Student Services team, working under broad guidance from the Associate Director. The role oversees operational activities, exercises strong judgement in planning and problem‑solving, and makes decisions that shape the success of products, projects and team outcomes. The position provides leadership, mentorship and quality oversight across product teams, collaborating with staff and stakeholders across the University to achieve service and program objectives.

The successful candidate will bring postgraduate qualifications and substantial experience in business or information systems, ideally within student administration or operational support technologies. They will have deep domain knowledge across both the business and technology aspects of student administration, along with a strong track record managing complex projects, analysing requirements and shaping effective IT solutions. Experience with agile delivery is essential, as are exceptional communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑engagement skills that enable effective collaboration across the University.
