Salary package:  $121,598 - $137,870 per annum plus 17% superannuation 
Term: Full time, Fixed term (until March 2029)

CSS is a vibrant and diverse community of more than three thousand students, staff, and visitors. Our College comprises of five schools and centres: the School of Computing, School of Cybernetics, School of Engineering, the Fenner School of Environment of Society and the Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science, all supported by the Professional Services Group.

The School of Computing has a strong foundation in computing and information sciences at the University. We are a transformative centre for research in artificial intelligence and machine learning, computer systems and software, and theoretical foundations of computing. We span traditional and modern thinking, connecting decades of computer science methodologies with modern data and computational science. About the opportunity

The successful candidate will develop independent and collaborative research in the area of Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Algorithm Design, and work in a diverse cross-disciplinary team with researchers and external stakeholders within industry and government. The Research Fellow is expected to contribute across all three areas of academic activity: research, education, and service. This includes actively seeking external research funding, contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, supervising Honours, Masters and PhD students, mentoring early-career researchers, and engaging in outreach and service activities within the School, College and broader community.
