Salary package: $121,598 - $137,870 per annum plus 17% superannuation

Position Overview
This Lecturer position involves research, teaching and service within the School of Culture, History and Language (CHL) in the College of Asia and the Pacific (CAP). The successful candidate will publish high-quality, impactful research in peer-reviewed journals and academic presses, and pursue grant-funding opportunities within a world-class School known for the support and mentorship that it provides to its early career researchers.
The role has been established to support the School’s delivery in Pacific and Asian History and Indonesian Language Programs. It will contribute to the School’s delivery of the Bachelor of Asian Studies (BASIA), Master of Asian Studies (MASIA) and Master of Asia and Pacific Studies (MANPS) degrees to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching at the University and may supervise honours and graduate research students.
The position also involves service contributions to the School and College, including administrative and planning work that supports research and education activities, as well as serving on School and College committees.
The Person
The successful applicant will be deeply committed to enhancing the Pacific and Asian History and Indonesian Language programs through innovative teaching, program building, research development, and community outreach. The applicant will demonstrate an active research and publication agenda in an area related to Pacific and Asian History, Indonesian Language, and/or a related field. The applicant will be teaching in both the Pacific and Asian History and Indonesian Language areas and in their area of specialisation at all levels, both undergraduate and postgraduate.
