Position Overview 

The Curriculum Architecture Coordinator plays a key operational role in strengthening program and course quality across the University. Working within the Education Support and Innovation area, the role supports best practice design, evaluation and continuous improvement of programs and courses across disciplines. 

The coordinator provides practical guidance and resources to academic staff on program and course design, delivery and review. This includes support for reaccreditation processes, financial cost–benefit analysis for new program proposals, and alignment with institutional curriculum structures. A core component of the role is supporting evidence-informed decision making. The coordinator assists with collecting, analysing and reporting course and program data to inform evaluation, learning analytics and quality enhancement activities.  

The position also supports Associate Deans and College Education Committees in implementing teaching and learning processes, including academic integrity and appeals matters. The role contributes to the development of consistent approaches to common academic processes where variation currently exists across Colleges. 

The Area 

The ANU Learning and Teaching portfolio supports the University’s strategic learning and teaching goals, with a focus on excellence and innovation in curriculum, learning and teaching, academic digital infrastructure, and careers and employability. 

The Education Support and Innovation team develops and coordinates services, programs and initiatives that strengthen teaching quality, curriculum design and academic governance across the University. Working in partnership with Colleges and central portfolios, the team supports Associate Deans and College Education Committees, and provides guidance on academic integrity, appeals and related governance processes. Through coordinated curriculum frameworks, evaluation practices and evidence-informed approaches, the team enables consistent, high-quality learning and teaching across ANU.
