Position Overview

Our Finance Business Partners provide comprehensive, high-level advise and support in a diverse range of financial operations, including the financial management of external and internal funds. As a trusted advisor to award winning researchers and innovators, the finance business partner liaises with a variety of stakeholders to provide robust advice and assistance on a wide range of finance-related policies, procedures and initiatives supporting the achievement of strategic goals.

The Person

The Finance Business Partner works closely with the other members of the Finance team, providing high quality financial advice and service, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting and compliance and fulfills a vital role in ensuring that timely information is provided to project leaders to manage their projects and ensure compliance with regulations. The Finance Business Partner works collaboratively with finance practitioners across campus and other areas within the University and supports the implementation of various local and University wide Finance related initiatives.

We are looking for someone with a degree in a relevant field, experience in financial operations within a complex organization, and advanced proficiency in financial software. Progress towards CPA or CA membership is highly regarded.

The Area

Finance and Business Services supports the University's strategic and operational goals by providing professional corporate financial management, administration, reporting and business services. Its core responsibilities are finance transactions, procurement and contracts, capital and commercial advisory, investment management, financial planning, analysis and reporting, taxation, insurance and research finance advisory.
