We currently anticipate the need for one or more Casual Sessional Academics (CSAs) for the following courses/roles. Appointed CSAs will be located in Canberra.

Courses likely to require a CSA to undertake some or all the following activities: course design under the supervision of an ANU staff member; delivery of principal or autonomous teaching content (e.g. lectures); marking; participation in meetings with the Course Convenor and students.

COLLEGE OVERVIEW

Position overview 

As a Casual Sessional Academic (CSA) you will contribute to the delivery of CAP courses with support, guidance and direction from the Academic Course Convenor and School staff.

You will work both independently and as part of a team to foster active, evidence-based learning and motivate students to achieve their best, and support them in meeting the stated learning outcomes.

CSAs are expected to hold qualifications and/or have experience recognised by the University as appropriate to the relevant discipline. This may include prior teaching experience, strong academic performance in relevant coursework, and/or professional experience related to the courses offered by the School.

    • If you have previously tutored at ANU, please list the courses
  • Resume/CV (maximum 3 pages)
  • Two referee reports (dated within the last 12 months, preferably including a current or former supervisor)

Step 3 (only for short-listed candidates who doesn’t have AQF+1 qualification)

Short-listed candidates who doesn’t have AQF+1 qualification will be provided with a Professional Experience Equivalency form. This form must be completed and will be assessed to determine whether applicants meet the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) requirements relevant to the courses they wish to teach or tutor.
