Position overview

The mission of Campus Environment Division is to "Enable academic excellence at ANU through integrated and innovative facilities and project delivery."  The four key portfolios are Corporate, Infrastructure & Planning, Operations and Sustainability.

The Corporate portfolio responsibilities include human resource, financial, business systems management, administrative and executive support services.  The Portfolio also manages oversight of parking on campus, commercial leasing administration, ANU Apartments, University Venues, and liaising with childcare providers on campus.

The Venues and Events Coordinator is responsible for the management and coordination of the University’s venues and accommodation services. The role focuses on ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of events, reservations, and related operational activities, providing high-quality services to meet the needs of a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.

The role involves coordination with the Functions on Campus and Accommodation teams, the leadership team, and colleagues across Venues and Functions, as well as other Campus Environment teams. The coordinator is responsible for the coordination, delivery, and successful implementation of events, venue hire, and accommodation services, including reviewing and approving Functions on Campus submissions for the University. The role also includes oversight of financial reporting, operational coordination and liquor audits for venues and accommodation facilities.

The position requires developing effective relationships within the University, fostering collaboration across divisions, and ensuring seamless service delivery. The coordinator also builds strong working relationships with external stakeholders, including event organisers, venue hirers, visitors, and contractors, to ensure high-quality outcomes and enhance service reputation.
