Position overview

The role of Senior Manager, Sponsored Students, is a key leadership position within the ANU International Office. This role leads the strategic planning, delivery and continuous improvement of sponsored student programs, ensuring exceptional support for students and strong relationships with external sponsors and internal partners.

Working under the broad direction of the Director, ANU International Office, the Manager oversees the University’s sponsored student portfolio and plays a central role in enhancing the academic success, wellbeing, and experience of sponsored students. The position works closely with Colleges, admissions and administration teams, government scholarship bodies, and international funding partners to ensure high‑quality service delivery and full compliance with sponsorship obligations.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced higher‑education professional who excels in stakeholder engagement, strategic program delivery, and student‑centred service design. The role requires strong leadership capability, a deep understanding of international education and sponsorship arrangements, and the ability to guide complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives to completion.
