The Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs (Bell School) is a world-leading centre for research, education and policy analysis on international and Asia Pacific politics, security, diplomacy and strategic affairs. The School comprises a number of vibrant, interdisciplinary, intellectual communities: the Department of International Relations, the Strategic and Defence Studies Centre, the Department of Political and Social Change and the Department of Pacific Affairs.

 

The Opportunity
We are seeking a School Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Bell School’s Business Services team, ensuring the effective coordination and delivery of day-to-day operational activities across the School.

The School Administrator will report to the Deputy Manager, Business Services and work closely with colleagues within the School, as well as liaising broadly with staff, students, visitors, College-level teams and Central Services.

In this role you will undertake a broad range of administrative duties that support the daily operations of the School, including acting as a first point of contact for administrative services, coordinating key processes and workflows and providing responsive support to a diverse range of stakeholders. You will contribute to the smooth functioning of the School by working collaboratively with team members and ensuring high-quality service delivery across academic and professional environments.

 

Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in providing high-level administrative and operational support within a complex organisational environment, preferably in higher education or a similar large organisation.

You will also have demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities, providing high-quality customer service and supporting a diverse range of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

To excel in this role, you will bring strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. You will demonstrate sound judgement, excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across academic, professional and student communities.
