Salary package: $89,760 - $97,918 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Terms: Full-time, fixed term until January 2027

The Position

The role supports the assessment processes within the SMP with a focus on the medical program. This includes working closely with students, academic and professional staff to implement all aspects of the assessment lifecycle from design, construction, implementation, processing assessment data, analysis and reporting. You will play a key role in developing strategies and recommendations for improvement of assessment-related activities and systems across all campuses.]

 

The Person

The successful applicant will be an experienced administrator with the ability to prioritise deadlines and interpret and provide strategic advice on policy and guidelines. They will have a strong collaborative focus with well-developed liaison skills, and the ability to exercise judgement and initiative. Excellent administration and organisation skills are essential, together with the ability to problem solve and work cooperatively as a member of a team. Experience in Medical Assessment practices will be an advantage but is not essentials

 

The School/Department

The School of Medicine and Psychology (SMP) was established in 2023 to bring together expertise from Medicine and Psychology to develop a unique educational and research environment. The focus is to produce psychologists, researchers and medical graduates who practice compassion, conscience and professional excellence and with a knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and culture. The School partners with a number of healthcare organisations to deliver teaching and training including but not limited to ACT Health, community practices throughout the ACT, South Eastern NSW, and Sydney Adventist Hospital. The SMP is committed to extending the boundaries of medical and psychology knowledge and improving societies through research. A focus on providing students with access to groundbreaking research is core to our research led education experience. Research is conducted over a range of disciplines and organised into three main themes: Society  Culture and Health, Diagnostics, Therapeutics and Clinical Car and Brain, Vision and Mental Processing. Collaborations is research and education have a national and international reach to other universities, governments and communities in the region as well as industry bodies, attracting national and international researchers and higher degree research candidates.

 

The College/Division

The ANU College of Science and Medicine encompasses the following disciplines: Astronomy and Astrophysics, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Physics, Medicine and Psychology, and Medical Research. It is also home to various cross-disciplinary and specialist institutes and centres. Staff and students within the ANU College of Science and Medicine conduct research and deliver research-led education programs spanning the entire breadth of the sciences, supported by extensive international networks and world-class facilities.

The Accredited Program Support Unit is a college level team that provides support the delivery to the accredited programs delivered by the College, primarily those programs and courses delivered by the School of Medicine and Psychology.
