Salary package: $124,638 - $141,317 per annum (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation

Position Overview
The position is funded by contract research between the ANU Defence Institute and the Australian Army Research Centre, based in the School of Demography within the Research School of Social Sciences (RSSS). We are seeking a highly capable and self-motivated Research Fellow to work on the project entitled ‘Small-area attitude mapping’ which involves the compilation of Australia attitudinal survey information, small-area modelling of demographic characteristics, and application of scenario modelling. This project aims to understand more about social attitudes across Australia.
The Research Fellow will compile data, conduct the analysis, and provide geographical visualisation of indicators. This research will be conducted within the Population Lab project lead by Professors Edith Gray and James Raymer. Our core aim is to have a better understanding of Australian demographic processes.
The Person
The research fellow is expected to work within the School of Demography at ANU and will be directly supervised by Professor Gray. The research fellow will be guided by a contracted research program, engage in data compilation, analysis and visualisation, and support the presentation of project activities, including through the project report and mapping of social attitudes. Please note, the successful applicant should have, or be eligible to secure, Baseline Security Clearance through the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
The College
