The Position

The Marketing Automation Specialist plays a pivotal role in the Central Marketing team within the International and Future Students division (Education Portfolio). This position is responsible for the strategic development, coordination, and execution of targeted prospect conversion marketing automation campaigns, ensuring compliance with the University’s branding, advertising, and publishing requirements.

You will drive innovation in campaign delivery, advocate for best practices in marketing automation, and collaborate with stakeholders across the university to maximise the effectiveness of student recruitment activities. This role is critical to enhancing the future student experience and supporting ANU’s strategic goals for student diversity and load targets.

The Person

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Automation Specialist with:

  • A degree in a relevant field and demonstrated experience in marketing automation, preferably in the higher education sector.
  • Sound knowledge of marketing automation campaign development and the ability to interpret and apply guidelines, policies, and legislative requirements.
  • High-level customer service, communication, and analytical skills, with a proven ability to produce multi-targeted and dynamic campaigns.
  • The ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders in a culturally diverse environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes.

The Area

Central Marketing within the International and Future Students Division brings together international and domestic recruitment, strategy, market research, marketing, advertising and digital engagement at ANU. The division is responsible for delivering high-quality communications and experiences for future students, aligning with the University’s strategic objectives.

The Education Portfolio supports the University’s mission to deliver exceptional educational experiences and outcomes. It brings together expertise across student recruitment, admissions, student administration and support services to enhance the student lifecycle from enquiry through to graduation.
