The Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs is seeking to appoint one or more Casual Course Coordinators to support the delivery of the courses outlined below. Please note that course allocations may change once final student enrolment numbers are confirmed. The courses listed and associated duties are indicative only.

The Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs (Bell School) is a world-leading centre for research, education, and policy analysis on international and Asia Pacific politics, security, diplomacy and strategic affairs. The School comprises a number of vibrant, interdisciplinary, intellectual communities: the Department of International Relations, the Strategic and Defence Studies Centre, the Department of Political and Social Change, and the Department of Pacific Affairs. 

Position overview 
As a Course Coordinator (Casual Sessional Academic), you will play an important role in the delivery and coordination of teaching activities within the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific. Working under the guidance of the Course Convenor and School academic staff, you will contribute to high-quality teaching, assessment, and student engagement.

Responsibilities may include:

• coordinating day-to-day course delivery activities
• supporting students through consultation and academic guidance
• marking and providing timely, constructive feedback on assessment tasks
• attending course team meetings and moderation discussions
• assisting with gradebook administration and assessment processes
• liaising with the Course Convenor regarding student progress and course issues
• supporting quality teaching and learning outcomes in accordance with College guidelines

You will work both independently and collaboratively as part of the teaching team to foster active, evidence-based learning and help students achieve the stated learning outcomes of the course.

A Casual Sessional Academic should have qualifications and/or experience recognised by the University as appropriate for the relevant discipline area. This may include:

• previous teaching or course coordination experience
• demonstrated academic achievement in a related field
• professional or industry experience relevant to the course discipline
