About the opportunity
This position is a fixed term for a period of up to 30 months to contribute to the ARC Discovery Project, focusing on goal-oriented semantic wireless communications within the Information and Signal Processing Cluster at the School of Engineering. Key responsibilities include the design and implementation of novel AI-driven goal-oriented semantic communication strategies, signal processing algorithms, performance optimization methods, and simulation platforms. The successful candidate will join Prof. Yang’s research group to work at the forefront of 6G innovation while assisting in the co-supervision of PhD students and the production of high-impact scholarly publications, co-supervised by Prof. Salman Durrani and working closely with Prof. Yansha Deng (King’s College London, United Kingdom).
Applications are particularly invited from researchers who undertake high impact collaborative and cross-disciplinary research, and whose expertise in AI-driven wireless communications, semantic processing, and 6G network architectures to contribute to the Activity Cluster, School, and College.
