Classification: ANU Officer 6/7 (Administration)
Salary package: $95,987 – 110,489 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Terms: Full-time, continuing (flexible arrangements will be considered)
The Position
The Division of Student Administration and Academic Services (DSAAS), within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Portfolio, supports students throughout their academic journey – from offer to graduation. The Student Conduct and Appeals team in DSAAS plays a critical role in upholding the standards and values of the ANU by administering policies and legislation related to student conduct, appeals, and academic integrity.
The Appeals and Integrity Officer position is evolving to meet the changing needs of the University. The successful candidate will be expected to investigate and identify available information to aid in the assessment of conduct, appeals, and integrity matters. This includes gathering facts, analysing and authenticating evidence, providing advice and preparing reports that support fair and transparent decision-making processes. The Appeals and Integrity Officer helps to maintain a culture of respect, safety and wellbeing across the ANU community.
The Person
We are seeking a candidate with demonstrated experience conducting investigations, compliance management, or complaint resolution. The ideal candidate will be skilled in facilitating administrative processes, fact-finding, evidence analysis, and applying institutional policies and legislation to assess complex matters. Experience conducting investigations in a regulatory or educational framework will be highly regarded.
A demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed practices, support for students, and being able to apply these approaches when managing behavioural and conduct related issues will be favoured.
Adaptability, discretion, and a commitment to maintain a safe university environment are key attributes of our ideal candidate.
Tertiary qualifications from a domestic institution, relevant to the advertised position, will be considered favourably.
