Salary package: $118,632 - $158,323 (pro rata) plus 17% superannuation plus Clinical Loading

Position overview

The ANU College of Science and Medicine encompasses the following disciplines: Astronomy and Astrophysics, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Physics, Medicine and Psychology, and Medical Research. It is also home to various cross-disciplinary and specialist institutes and centres. Staff and students within the ANU College of Science and Medicine conduct research and deliver research-led education programs spanning the entire breadth of the sciences, supported by extensive international networks and world-class facilities.

The ANU School of Medicine and Psychology educates and develops medical graduates who practise medicine with compassion, conscience and professional excellence. The School partners with healthcare organisations to deliver clinical teaching and training and is committed to extending the boundaries of medical knowledge and improving the health system through research, and to providing students with a research led educational experience.

The successful candidate will have a significant impact on the education activities of the School, and achieve this through effective leadership and management of staff and resources within available financial resources. Clinical Skills education is well developed in the School across all 4-years of the medical program. The appointee will oversee, organise and implement the day–to-day aspects of Phase 2 (Years 3 and 4) Clinical Skills, including teaching sessions and assessment activities and contribute to the continuous quality improvement of the theme. In addition, a Level C appointee will also contribute academic leadership for Clinical Skills and continuous quality improvement of the medical program.
