The Position

The University Librarian is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping the strategic direction and operational delivery of the ANU Library. Operating at the intersection of research infrastructure and academic mission, the role ensures the integrity, accessibility, and evolution of the University's knowledge systems

 

The Person

We are seeking a highly accomplished leader with deep expertise in scholarly information environments and the ability to operate at a strategic, institutional level.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated leadership of complex research or scholarly infrastructure environments.
  • Strong understanding of knowledge systems including collections, data, and scholarly communication.
  • Proven ability to partner with academic leaders across diverse disciplines.
  • A track record of organisational leadership and delivering strategic transformation. 
  • Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A strong commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and the accessibility of knowledge.

 

The Library

The ANU Library forms the foundation for discovery and scholarship at the University, enabling the creation, connection, and long-term value of knowledge. It plays a critical role in supporting research, teaching, and the stewardship of scholarly outputs.
