The Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT) supports the ANU Learning & Teaching Strategy's vision for creating innovative learning experiences that support and inspire our students. CLT acts as a knowledge, support and professional learning hub for staff in educational design and pedagogy. It works collaboratively across the University to enhance our learning environments, and to celebrate teaching excellence and innovation. 

The Education Advancement Team within CLT Education Communities supports the mission of the University by providing ANU staff with opportunities to advance their educational standing through the internationally accredited Education Fellowship Scheme (EFS). The Team also administers the full cycle of local and national teaching awards, ensuring the processes are supportive of applicants and deliver outcomes that celebrate the University’s focus on the quality of student and teacher partnerships. As required, the Educational Advancement team is flexible in contributing to communication functions, events and activities.

Position summary

The Team Leader, Educational Advancement is responsible for the leadership and operation of the Educational Advancement team; providing high-level professional advice on indicators of educational quality as they relate to the university-wide reward & recognition of our teachers. Under the broad guidance of the Manager, Education Communities the team leader will build and maintain professional relationships with other internal and external stakeholders - in particular, Universities Australia (AAUT) and Advance HE (HEA). The team leader oversees the development and provision of resources and events that assist prospective fellowship applicants and award recipients in the drafting of exemplary reflective and/or evidence-based professional narratives. The team leader works to operationalise university-wide reward & recognition strategies that contribute to building and celebrating the University’s reputation for designing and delivering exceptional learning and teaching experiences.
