In order to lift Australia's scientific, technical, regulatory, and industry capacities in nuclear and radiation science and technology, and to strengthen Australia's role in international frameworks of technical cooperation, non-proliferation, nuclear security and safety, the Research School of Physics is seeking to appoint a research-intensive academic to coordinate aspects of nuclear stewardship within a University-wide centre.

We are looking to appoint multiple academic appointments who will make a significant contribution to the Department Nuclear Physics and Accelerator Applications (NPAA) at the international level. You will have a PhD in Nuclear Physics or a related area, with a strong track record of independent research in or more of the areas of nuclear physics and accelerator applications and a record of winning bids for competitive external funding to support individual and collaborative research activities.
