Classification: Senior Manager 2 
Salary package: $137,231 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Term: Full time, Continuing

• Provide high-quality academic administration advice and support on Staff and student related matters
• Lead and develop a team of administration staff with a positive professional work culture

The College is committed to solving problems through fundamental and applied scientific research, and improving health outcomes for people in Australia and around the world.  The College houses three Research Schools - the John Curtin School of Medical Research (JCSMR); the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health (NCEPH); and the School of Medicine and Psychology (SMP).

The ANU School of Medicine and Psychology (SMP) works to advance human health and wellbeing, enhancing the lives of individuals and strengthening communities, including those of Aboriginal and Torres Strait peoples, in the ACT, NSW and beyond. By integrating the disciplines of medicine and psychology we aim to unlock the secrets of health and wellbeing, develop impactful therapies, solve national and international health problems, and lead impactful social change. To do this we conduct collaborative, courageous, transformational and translational research, integrating perspectives, knowledge and techniques from multiple disciplines. We develop excellent, adaptable, resilient and innovative clinicians, academics and health care leaders of the future who work in partnership with their patients and colleagues to provide optimal care for individuals while strengthening the stem and society they work in. We partner with discovery-focused and population researchers, healthcare providers, government, commercial and not for profit organisations and communities.

As the School Manager, you'll provide invaluable strategic advice, nurture vital partnerships, monitor performance and resources, and empower our dedicated staff, becoming an integral part of our dynamic leadership team and make a lasting impact on the future of our School and College. Working together with the Executive and SMP Director you will enable and manage key internal and external partnerships, financial commitments, and HR requirements; and ensure effective communication and high-impact work by the School's professional staff team.

To be successful in the role, we are looking for a leader skilled in positive engagement and influence to build strong collaborative relationships within the University and across our wider networks. A proven track record in shaping, developing, and implementing strategic and operational business plans and experience in government and/or the higher education sector is advantageous.
