Crawford School of Public Policy is a School within CAP and is Australia’s premier public policy school, with recognised world-class expertise and experience in economics, political science, environmental management and development, and on key Asia-Pacific countries, especially China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam and Indonesia, as well as Australia. The Development Policy Centre (Devpol) is a research centre within the Crawford School with a focus on Australian aid, the Pacific and PNG, and global development policy. 

The Opportunity
The Development Policy Centre is seeking to appoint a Research Officer.

In this role you will provide support on a diverse range of research activities including quantitative data analysis, policy analysis, database management, producing data visualisations, and writing DevpolicyBlogs, policy briefs and submissions.

Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will have undergraduate honours and/or Masters in economics, international development, or a related field. You will be fully proficient in Excel and/or statistical analysis software. You will also have demonstrated experience in gathering and analysing data, applying research output to relevant policies, and providing input to policy advice. To excel in this role, you will have excellent written and oral communications skills, excellent time management and a high attention to detail.
