Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow

Classification: Academic level B/C
Salary package: $107,475 - $143,433 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Term: Full time, Fixed Term (up to 3 years)

This position will provide opportunities to:

• Work with interdisciplinary and cross industry teams developing new technology and software for privacy oriented applications;
• Conduct research and development that puts privacy first whilst adding value to personal and collective data, particularly in health;
• Demonstrate modern and innovative software engineering practises for delivering impactful research outcomes.

Our mission is motivated by the need to design, drive and sustain strategic activities via five broad focus areas: Computing Foundations, Computational Science, Intelligent Systems, Data Science and Analytics, and the Software Innovation Institute. The Software Innovation Institute supports an innovative and forward-looking agenda utilising software for social good, building on a diverse and inclusive culture.

About the opportunity

There are multiple fixed term roles available for a period of 1-3 years, hosted at the Software Innovation Institute in the ANU School of Computing.

Applications are particularly invited from developers and researchers who undertake high impact collaborative and cross-disciplinary research and/or development in the areas of, but not limited to, privacy, health, data science, and federated machine learning. You will also bring to the team a strong background in software engineering and will have the opportunity to mentor a team of junior software engineers.
