Salary package: $91,546 - $141,317 per annum plus 17 % superannuation

Position overview
The Tax and Transfer Policy Institute (TTPI) is a strategic collaboration between the Australian Government and ANU, and is based at the Crawford School of Public Policy, a school within the ANU College of Law, Governance and Policy. TTPI focuses on supporting policy-relevant work at the interface between government and academia in a range of strategic issues relevant to tax and transfer policy in a national and regional context. Wherever possible, TTPI works in close collaboration with government departments and agencies.

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow or Research Fellow to work independently on a range of areas and carry out activities to develop his/her scholarly research and/or professional expertise relevant to tax and transfers.

The Postdoctoral Fellow or Research Fellow will report to the TTPI Director, and will work closely with academic colleagues, professional staff and government stakeholders.

Our ideal candidate
Our ideal candidate should demonstrate excellence in independent research, submit and publish academic papers to leading peer-reviewed journals in economic and/or taxation studies, and partner in policy engagement with government and other key stakeholders. The Postdoctoral Fellow or Research Fellow should be willing to contribute to educational activities (e.g. guest lectures, short or intensive courses, and executive education) as requested. Previous knowledge and experience in the area of tax and transfer policy is desirable but not required.
