Salary package: $89,313 – $137,870 per annum plus 17% superannuation

Join us in developing the next generation of integrated Planning and Learning for Resilient Robot Operations

• Design and develop novel algorithms that integrate skills learning with sequential decision-making under uncertainty techniques
• Having access to robotics platforms and demonstration space for experiments and showcasing your work
• Collaborate with leading robotics research groups and robotics practitioners from large and small industries

The Research Fellow will be hosted at Robotics Lab within the ANU School of Computing. They will be a member of the ANU School of Computing and the Australian Robotics Inspection and Asset Management (ARIAM) Hub. ARIAM Hub is a collaboration between leading academic researchers and experts from the Australian robotics industry supported by the Australian Research Council to deliver research excellence in robotics for asset management. ARIAM spans 3 leading Australian universities: The University of Sydney, QUT and ANU. The Research Fellow will be supervised and collaborate closely with Prof Hanna Kurniawati, Assoc. Prof. Patrik Haslum and Dr Rahul Shome from the ANU School of Computing. They will also collaborate with leading experts in Robot Control, Prof Ian Manchester from the Australian Centre for Robotics (ACFR) at the University of Sydney, and in Robot Learning, Prof Niko Sünderhauf from the QUT Centre for Robotics at the Queensland University of Technology. The Research Fellow will work on a strategic ARIAM Hub project –that is, a fundamental research project that, if successful, will likely be helpful to multiple industry in the not-so-distant future.
