Salary package: $78,940 - $121,857 per annum plus 17% superannuation

The Position
An opportunity exists for early career researcher to join the Materials Physics Group, within the Research School of Physics. The Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Fellow will undertake research on high temperature laboratory scale assimilation tests of geological materials. The candidate will characterise material via 2D and 3D imaging methods and material changes during assimilation will be described. This position requires collaborative engagement with industry partners and commercial stakeholders.
The Person
To excel in this role, you will have a PhD (or awarding of PhD within 6 months of appointment commencement) in materials science, metallurgy, physics, engineering or relevant field. We are looking for early career researcher with excellent interpersonal skills and the capable of developing productive, professional relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders. Highly developed organisational skills and effective self-management are key.
