Classification: Academic Level A
Salary package: $82,936 - $104,099 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Terms: Full time, Continuing (contingent funded)
This position is continuing (contingent funded). The funding that supports this project has an expected end date of 27 February 2028.
The Position
This is a key role in a friendly, motivated team providing research expertise, student supervision, and training to the newly funded ARC Training Centre in Plant Biosecurity (the Training Centre), based in the ANU Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science.
This role will undertake independent research in the area of misinformation and plant biosecurity. The role includes collaborating with partners in the Training Centre, including researchers and policy makers. Activities will also include supporting PhD student supervision, delivering training, and mentorship.
The Person
We are looking for a person with experience in science communication, misinformation studies or a related field, or equivalent qualifications and experience in a related area. We are looking for someone who likes challenging problems and encourages team members and colleagues to workshop effective solutions. You must be willing to travel and collaborate with the partners in the Training Centre.
