Salary package: $85,010-$106,702 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Term: Full-time, Fixed Term (up to 24 months)
The Position
This is a key role in the newly established Melonek Group, located within the Division of Plant Sciences at the Research School of Biology, ANU Collage of Science and Medicine.
With no two days being the same, this Postdoctoral Fellow position is central to delivering the research outcomes outlined in the ARC Discovery Project grant ‘Unleashing the Potential of Restorer-of-Fertility Proteins for Hybrid Crops’. The Postdoctoral Fellow will work closely with the project’s Chief Investigators, Dr Joanna Melonek (project lead, ANU) and Professor Ian Small (The University of Western Australia), and will be actively involved in experimental design, data analysis, and dissemination of findings through publications and presentations.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and dynamic research environment, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources. This position offers an excellent platform for career development in plant molecular biology, genomics, and crop biotechnology.
The Person
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral plant scientist with a strong background in plant molecular biology. Experience with protein purification and mass spectrometry will be considered an advantage. We are looking for someone who likes challenging problems and encourages team members and colleagues to workshop effective solutions.
