Classification: Academic Level A
Salary package: $85,010 – $106,702 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Term: Full-time, Continuing Contingent Funded (up to12 months)

Position overview
The National Centre for Health Workforce Studies (NCHWS) is a recently established Centre at NCEPH with goal of building national academic capability in health workforce research. Priorities include building sophisticated data, surveillance, modelling, and intelligence capacity to inform workforce planning; delivering post-graduate and professional education programs; strengthening the research and evidence base to inform public policy and industry investment in the health workforce; and partnering with government, higher education and to deliver rigor and excellence in planning, research and development of the nation’s health and care workforce. The NCHWS incorporated the Health Data Analytics Team in 2025 whose role is to make better use of a range of national, jurisdictional and regional data sets to better inform supply and demand modelling and through a range of government and industry partnerships.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Fellow with experience working with public service funded projects to join a vibrant research team working on health workforce modelling, scenario testing, research, and education. The successful applicant will work on health workforce projects. Your knowledge of and experience in ACT and Tasmanian health workforce planning will be highly valued.
