Salary package: $80,914 - $101,560 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Term: Full-time, Continuing (contingent funded) appointment for up to 36 months

The Position
The Postdoctoral Fellow will be based in the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics, ANU, and will contribute to research in the area of stellar or galactic astronomy. The Postdoctoral Fellow will work within the research group of Dr Melissa Ness. Candidates who have previous experience with astronomy or astrophysics are encouraged to apply.

The Person
We are looking for an early career researcher with a PhD (or awarding of a PhD within six months of appointment). Candidates with experience in any of the following are encouraged to apply : stellar spectroscopy and stellar abundances, stellar structure and stellar evolution, chemical evolution modelling, large survey data, statistics and machine learning, galaxy formation and simulations, integral field unit observations. Applications are encouraged from researchers who wish to undertake novel and collaborative research as part of their program.

Your ability to lead by example, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will enable you to foster respectful and productive working relationships with staff, students and colleagues at all levels RSAA.
