Mineralogy Electron Microscopy Specialist

Classification: ANU Officer 6/7 or 8 (Specialist)
Salary package: $91,362 - $120,506 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Term: Full-time, Continuing (Contingent Funded), funded for 24 months

The Position

This is a key role for an experienced mineralogy expert to manage the new microanalytical suite at the Centre for Advanced Microscopy. The successful candidate will support world-class microanalytical research and industry projects on state-of-the-art equipment for all users of the facility and will train users in the operation of various microanalytical techniques available across a range of scanning electron microscopes.

The Person

We are seeking a qualified microanalytics expert with a background and experience in mineralogy research. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly establish productive, professional relationships with colleagues and clients. They thrive on tackling challenging problems and are committed to working with their team to develop effective solutions. Strong organisational skills and effective self-management are essential for success in this role.
