The Area
The Advanced Instrumentation and Technology Centre (AITC) is national facility in Canberra and part of the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics. The Centre was established to support the development of the next generation of instruments for astronomy and space science.
The Position
In accordance with the ANU – ESO agreement, the Mavis Consortium Manager is expected to manage MAVIS project international consortium members, stakeholders and customer/end user and will efficiently deliver MAVIS instrument. This position will provide executive level strategic leadership and oversight of the delivery of MAVIS project, whilst developing and managing partnerships with the scientific community.
The Person
We are looking for experienced project manager with extensive experience in developing and implementing project management to meet strategic objectives, with highly developed analytical, conceptual, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to write influential reports. Experience in astronomy and space technology development sector will be highly regarded.
