About Us

The University Governance Office (UGO) is responsible for managing the governance functions of the University. It provides procedural advice and support to the Chancellor, the Vice-Chancellor and the ANU Council, Council Committees, and the Academic Board. CGRO also manages ANU policy, delegations and legislation as well as privacy and freedom of information.

Position overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced and qualified information governance professional, looking for a chance to join a small, passionate, distributed team to deliver effective information governance and access functions to the University.

The Manager, Information Governance and Access Officer will work as part of a small team of specialist staff to provide support and advice to the team and the wider University community in relevant areas, including FOI and Privacy.

To be successful in this role, you will have relevant qualifications and extensive experience in the provision of information governance and access services. You will be highly organised, have highly developed writing skills, possess an exceptional eye for detail, and be able to communicate complex and detailed information in a simple and concise manner. You will have effective partnership skills with the ability to influence at all levels, including governance colleagues and senior leaders.
