Position overview

The Australian National University is a world-class University home to remarkable visionaries, influential leaders and researchers creating impact and change nationally, regionally and globally. The Investment Analyst role is a key member of the Investment Office within the Financial & Business Services Division (F&BS).

Finance and Business Services (F&BS) supports the University's strategic and operational goals through the provision of professional corporate financial management and administration, reporting and effective business services. Its core responsibilities include policy development; investment management; treasury; procurement and contracts advice; travel management, and insurance.

The Investment Analyst - Portfolios is an integral member of the Investment Office and contributes to the provision of comprehensive management reporting and analysis on the University's investment portfolios. The Investment Analyst - Portfolios works collaboratively within the investment reporting process to report and advise on performance and returns of the University's assets.

This is a unique opportunity to work on new projects which will develop your investment skills. 

Our ideal candidate has strong Excel skills, demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, and understands investment concepts such as duration, information ration and alpha. A high level of attention to detail, organizational skills and strong communication is crucial in the role. The role requires manipulating large datasets from multiple sources in Excel. Experience with Python or Bloomberg will be highly regarded.
