- Lead a team of Business Partners and ensure high-quality, integrated service delivery of payroll, HR systems, provisioning and background checking, workforce planning/analytics and HR operations.
- Champion consistency and excellence in the delivery of high-quality, integrated HR solutions and operational excellence.
- Lead the development and execution of consistent people services to ensure continuous process, system and service improvement and effective integration with relevant areas.

The Role
Working as part of the People and Culture team, the Head of People Services will report directly to the Chief People Officer, and work in close collaboration with other senior HR leaders throughout the University. The position will lead the development and execution of consistent people services to ensure continuous process, system and service improvement and effective integration with relevant areas. It will achieve this by working closely with leaders within People and Culture and other internal and external stakeholders to lead and deliver people services that enhance the employment experience.
The successful applicant will be required to work within the Higher Education sector, with a significant focus on providing strategic and operational management to a group of Human Resources (HR) specialists, to drive the support of achievement of University objectives.
The Criteria
A proven track record in delivering positive change within a complex industrial environment is a key requirement of this position. You will have the ability to be hands on at times, build trusting relationships and use your experience to influence outcomes.
You can demonstrate a growth mind-set and service-approach, a reflective and collegiate leadership style, natural humility and financial/commercial acumen.
You have managed mid-sized HR operations teams and are comfortable with healthy debate to find the best outcomes for the University. Ideally experience working with PeopleSoft or similar HRIS tools
Experience working within the Higher Education / Education sector will be viewed favourably, although not a pre-requisite. Alternatively, experience working within the Public Sector, or within complex for profit organisations that have gone through significant change is also of interest.
