The Educational Technologist is part of the Learning Space Technology team, within Information Technology Services to promote student-centered learning and leverage technologies to enhance teaching and learning effectiveness across the University.
About the Role
The Educational Technologist will provide support to academic staff in their teaching and learning endeavours, particularly concerning ANU Learning Spaces and associated technology.
This includes aiding in instructional technology administration and training at both the central and college levels to assist both new and existing users with technologies. Additionally, this role offers guidance and assistance to staff members in rethinking teaching practices and in the design, utilization, and implementation of innovative teaching and learning approaches and technologies.
Collaborating with team members and academic staff, the Educational Technologist will also be responsible for creating, developing, and managing high-quality training materials and resources.
Furthermore, this role involves organizing and administering activities, meetings, and project tasks to support educational development initiatives. The Educational Technologist will be required to undertake specific tasks for the day-to-day maintenance of administrative tools, communication platforms and channels, utilizing various technologies. Engaging in informed discussions on educational development and flexible learning, both locally and beyond, is an essential aspect of this position, which may involve participation in national conferences. Collaboration and adaptability across diverse disciplines and projects within the university are expected.
