Salary package: $118,399 - $126,607 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Terms: Full time, Continuing

Position overview

The Deputy Head, Residential Services plays a pivotal role in the operational leadership of The Australian National University's student accommodation portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Residential Services, this position leads the application and offer process, manages enquiry services, and oversees outbound communications. Working closely with the Residential Systems Manager, the role ensures that systems and processes are aligned, scalable, and continuously improved to support a high-quality residential experience for nearly 6,000 students across 13 on-campus residences.

This is a dynamic and impactful role for a strategic thinker and operational leader who thrives in a fast paced, student focused environment.

The Person

We are looking for a collaborative and data informed leader with:

• Proven experience in operational service delivery, ideally in tertiary education or accommodation services.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• A track record of driving process improvements and managing service performance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A commitment to equity, diversity, and service excellence.

Residential Services is part of the Residential Experience Division, which supports the wellbeing, engagement, and success of students living on campus. The Division is responsible for the strategic and operational management of The Australian National University's residential portfolio, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and enriching living environment.
