Position overview

An opportunity exists for a motivated individual with an interest in student mobility/learning abroad to join the Global Programs team as Coordinator, Global Programs. Previous experience in student mobility/learning abroad programming will be well regarded but is not essential.

Global Programs (GP) is a specialist team responsible for the implementation, delivery, and support of learning abroad programs at the Australian National University. The team provides support to colleges, students, and other stakeholders in facilitating credit-bearing international study experiences for both ANU students going abroad and international students wishing to come to ANU as non-award exchange or study abroad students. Global Programs also manages the University’s learning abroad funding, including OS-HELP, the New Colombo Plan, and the Destination Australia Cheung Kong Exchange Program.

The Coordinator, Global Programs contributes to the development and delivery of learning abroad programs with the aim of maximising credit-bearing global learning opportunities for both domestic and international ANU students. This includes programs of one or two semesters, as well as shorter-term opportunities, designed to encourage the exchange of international and domestic students with partner universities in alignment with ANU’s international student mobility strategy.

We welcome applications from self-motivated and highly organised professionals with demonstrated experience in student mobility/learning abroad programming or a comparable role in the international education sector. Our ideal candidate will be personable, capable of providing a high level of customer service, and possess excellent time management, verbal, and written communication skills. They will be known for their initiative, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to collaboration and consultation.
