Position Overview

Bring your skills, knowledge, ideas and sound judgement to work in a strategic position leading Archives and Collections at the Australian National University.

The Associate Director, Archives and Collections is responsible for strategic management of the University’s unique research collections of archives, materials and contemporary art. 

Working with partners within and external to ANU, you will oversee development of innovative collection and archive use for teaching, research and public engagement. You will implement collection management and discovery systems at the University and put in place digitisation programs for priority collections.

Reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Infrastructure and Entities), you are a trusted leader with stewardship of analogue and digital collections, building strategies for the future and managing a team of expert archivists and collections advisors.
