The Position
Administrative Focused Role (x1):
The Administration Assistant will support day-to-day student administration activities, including responding to enquiries, assisting with enrolment and program processes, maintaining student records, and providing logistical support for coursework administration. The role will also help support class timetabling and provide general support to academics and program staff on student-related matters.
Working in a busy and supportive team environment, the position contributes to smooth and responsive service delivery, accurate record-keeping and clear communication with students, staff and central service areas.
Operations Focused Role (x1):
The Administration Assistant will provide practical and reliable administrative support for College operations. The role will assist with tasks such as managing stationery and office supplies, managing room bookings, coordinating minor maintenance requests, supporting academics with administrative requirements and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of college spaces and activities.
The Person
We are looking for an organised and approachable team member with strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to supporting students and academics. You will have good communication skills, confidence using digital and administrative systems, and the ability to manage competing priorities. Experience in student services, customer service or office administration will be highly regarded.
The College
The ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) is one of six Colleges at ANU. The College, which is structured into two main research schools, offers degrees in more than 20 discipline areas and excels in research across the creative arts, humanities and social sciences. The College has a substantial international research presence and is a major source of national policy advice.
